Monday Madness - Week 1

I was browsing the Topshop website this morning in the hope that I would find some nice goodies left in the sale and I came across these. I love the deliciously quirky designs that Topshop whip up and serve to us all throughout the year but sometimes they get it a little bit wrong. Or in this case, very wrong indeed!

Image sourced from topshop.com

The Topshop site describes them as 'Snake printed leather mid height court premium shoes with heavy ankle chains' but I'd describe them as just - well - disgusting. But if this sort of thing floats ya boat, go over to the Topshop site and grab these beasts before they're gone. (Down from £85 to £20, unsurprisingly!)
I must admit, I am rather worried that these are sold out in every size but one...

Am I the only one?

P.S. Do you think I should make 'Monday Madness' a regular feature à la LaurenLovesBlog's Crimes of Fashion? Comment below or tweet me @cwaterworth!

NOTD: Mad for Milan

Thanks to my busy life and strict rules at school, I only seem to paint my nails once in a blue moon. Tonight, there must be a blue moon in the sky! I got a No7 nail polish gift set from Santa and my favourite colour has to be Milan. I'm not usually much of a fan of pinks but I absolutely love the silvery tone to this polish and all the sparkles (cue candy, glitter and girly giggles!).
What do you girls think of No7 polishes?

Time to tone up! (Giveaway now closed)

Anyone that knows me, follows me on Twitter or is a regular reader of my blog will know that I am probably one of Batiste's biggest fans! I own almost all of the different cans so when I heard about the latest additions to the Batiste family, I couldn't wait to get my hands on them.
Despite there being a lot of love for Batiste products, I have heard a few people complain about the grey/white residue that can be left on the roots if it is not rubbed in enough. However, the new range, with a hint of colour, means that this will be a thing of the past as it also claims to reduce the appearance of grey hairs and regrowth in coloured hair.

Batiste Tones come in the regular 150ml can and I absolutely love the cute, retro pattern for each of the hair colours. There's one for 'Light and Blonde Hair', another for 'Medium and Brunette Hair' and then one for 'Dark and Deep Brown Hair'.

I have been testing the can for 'Medium and Brunette Hair' as it suits my hair colour best and not only do I like the cute design, but the product itself smells rather nice too. It doesn't claim to have a particular scent but to me, it's smells a bit like toffee - an added bonus I suppose! The hint of colour meant that it took only a few seconds for the product to work wonders, leaving my hair feeling clean, refreshed and not at all grey. And at £3.05 in stores like Boots and Superdrug, it will leave your purse in a rather nice state too!

As a little thank you for all your support so far, I've decided to give one of you the chance to win a can from the Batiste Tones range, designed for 'Light and Blonde Hair' (as pictured at the top of the photo above). Don't worry if you are not blonde because you can always give it to a deserving friend who is!

Tomorrow = Monday...

How's about a bit of positive thinking?

Keep calm and buy a clock!

This year, we seem to have been obsessed with all things retro. Beauty spots, updos, victory rolls... And the winner: anything with the infamous phrase 'Keep Calm and Carry On'. This catchy WW2 phrase has been remixed more times than I've had school dinners: 'Keep Calm and Go To Paris', 'Keep Calm and Stay Classy', 'Keep Calm and Go Shopping'...

But as quirky as these are, what's wrong with the orginal one?! Personally, I love retro style and basically live by the phrase 'Keep Calm and Carry On' so when I spotted this bright red clock, I couldn't resist.

I was looking for a clock for my bedroom after my last one's alarm rang at an unpleasant 6am one morning and I, in my half asleep state, dropped it on the floor! What's more, at £14.99, bargain!

I know this isn't directly about fashion, but who says our walls can't be fashionable too?

If for some reason, you've already had enough of the January sales and fancy splashing some cash (£140 to be exact) on an equally bright but slightly, girlier
version, why note head over to utilitydesign.co.uk and pop one of these up on your wall?

The clock comes in almost every colour under the sun and if you need a little persuasion, there's free delivery on this product en ce moment!
