Apart from the very beginning of my
everyday makeup video, it is very unlikely that you will have ever or will ever see me completely bare-faced. And believe me, you are not missing out! However, recently I decided to try to give my skin a real chance to clear up and well, breathe. I've heard it can get quite stuffy under all that foundation!
In the midst of my AS exams and I seem to be spending most of my time either sleeping, eating or revising, which means that in the mornings that doesn't really leave much time for major makeup. So I thought I'd start my whole giving-my-face-a-breather plan and have whittled down my routine to 6 products. Which, for the record, I am loving.
I use the
Garnier BB cream as a lighter alternative to my foundation. In the words of Nessa off of Gavin and Stacey,
I won't lie to you, I haven't tried the 10 trillion different BB creams that seem to be around at the moment but I picked up this one when it first came out and a few months into our relationship, we're still getting on rather well! For concealer, I've turned to the
Anti-Blemish Liquid concealer from
Witch Skincare in
Light 1 which seems (and is) mighty pale but after realising that I am actually quite fair-skinned, is in fact, it's the perfect colour for my foundation-free face. As always, I am addicted to the mango lip balm from
Burt's Bees; then with a few dots of my mini
Benefit High Beam, a dab of my new
Topshop blush in
High Five on the apples of my cheeks and a coat or two of my
Clinique High Lengths sample and and I'm off out the door for a few hours of exams. The five and a half hours of Economics, ICT and French on Friday were particularly joyful but that's 3 less left to do!
Hope you've found my little makeup routine update enjoyable/useful/interesting and for those of you in the middle of your exams, good luck!
